Without justice,
there is no healing.
Our mission is to uplift, advocate, and raise awareness of the Missing & Murdered Indigenous Relatives (MMIR) crisis while working through a healing justice framework and providing a cultural safe space for those who have been negatively impacted.
In addition, its purposes are to:
• Serve as an advocate to those who have been negatively impacted by the MMIR crisis.
• Become a well-known and trusted Native American resource within the Great Plains region.
• Raise awareness of the MMIR crisis with all interconnected issues such as poverty, environmental justice, just economy, incarceration, substance abuse, and violence through education, issue-based campaigns, non-violent direct actions, and healing justice through a cultural-specific approach centered around rematriation.
• Diversify our connections and create partnerships with allies to allow for coordinated efforts beneficial for all of the Siouxland community.
Red Sky Nation will administer programs intended to meet these purposes.
